Garden Faces

A Garden is a complex of aesthetic and plastic intentions; and the plant is, to an artist, not only not only a plant – rare, unusual, ordinary or doomed to disappearance – but it is also a color, a shape, a volume or an arabesque in itself. – Roberto Burle Marx

Starting a garden with children is what I wanted to do with the ‘Burning Corner’. I feel Libraries and Gardens to be founding stones for a school and they play an important role in intellectual and emotional being of a child. The Garden was started with few saplings and loving efforts. In the past 3 months, 6*2 meter of the area has been covered with around 11 species of plants, 2 species of vines and small bushes. Students have started witnessing long marching lines of ‘Carpenter ants’, hanging webs of spiders, a new shade of flower and a hanging vegetable from a vine. They mistake weed plants to be some important herb and sometime uproot the original one planted (Hahaha). So this photo story gives a glimpse of faces in our garden.

Harvest, Effort and Love

Making labs an entertainment space. Celebration with nature.

We all stand together for a cause. The ‘Burning Corner’ will just stay as a term, it will be represented by life, flowers, fruits & efforts. 4
